Dear Reader... Relaxation

Dear Reader,
Remember Bye Bye Birdie? Our director said we have to spend a whole week doing dress rehearsals. But like a miracle, he CANCELLED tonight's rehearsal!!!! I love being relaxed. I get so little time to do it.

Dear Reader... Dancing With Hart!

Dear reader (Yeah, I did it again!),
I have spent about an hour and thirty minutes dancing with my energetic friend, Hart. she is the same age as me, 12, but she is around a foot smaller than me. I am used to that, since I am so tall. She is about 75 pounds, plays softball, and is very hyper. She like lettuce on just about anything but pizza. To sum it all up, she is a healthy, tiny, happy ball of sunshine.
I have a feeling we will be dancing a lot more this summer. We have, so far, put together 2 energetic dances(MAN! I am tired!). We have done one with my sister, and one without. I just realized that I pick those two up a lot in the dances.
I am going to have so much fun with my friend, Hart, this summer.

Dear Reader...Bye Bye Birdie!!!

Dear reader(Yes. I did type "Dear reader". It might be something that I will be doing from now on.),
I have started a play called Bye Bye Birdie down at Chickasaw Theater. I started the first rehearsal last night. My mother thought that we would settle down and get to know each other before we actually started rehearsing, but she was wrong.
Not even ten minutes after we were started we had started rehearsal we were already in our groups(high soprano, soprano, alto, tenor, and the ones who just don't know what part they sing), warmed up, and started on our first song, "A Healthy, Normal, American Boy". I was kind of in the middle between alto soprano and alto, so i guess you could count me as a person who just doesn't know what part they sing. I ended up choosing soprano.
Our songs were a bit hard for my sister, Mallory, who couldn't hit most of the high notes(Did I mention she was in it, too? Well, she is!). One song where the notes were high was "Hymn for a Sunday Evening".  We worked on that song some last night, But she kept on getting mad at me for pointing out to her that that was an A flat, or and F sharp. Maybe she is jealous of me. Or maybe she doesn't want an older sibling who knows more than she does about music. What do you think, reader?
I have seen the movie, "Bye Bye Birdie", so I knew some of the songs that we sang. The hardest song for me was  "A Lot of Livin' To Do". I have a feeling that that song is going to require some extra practice. We are gonna be learning the choreography today. Oh boy...

Rain, rain...GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stuck in my house, thanks to a REALLY bad thunder storm. Sittin' here with my dog on my lap, using one hand to pet her and the other one to type. She kinda made the decision for us to stay here and wait out the storm before we go to our grandma's house. She gets TERRIFIED of storms. When we were about to leave the
house, she kept on whimpering. And when we just opened the door, she kept poking her head out. We tried to get her to go away by saying,"No, Lucy. Get back, sweetie." But it wouldn't work. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN HER!!! She looked SO pitiful!!! And that is how we got stuck in the storm.

Sushi

I have eaten sushi 2 days in a row. That was the first time I've tasted sushi. I like the California Roll, the Strawberry Roll, and the Shrimp Roll. There was one type of sushi that almost made me lose my appetite. The first day I tried sushi, there was one that had a GIANT clump of seaweed on the top. I told myself that I would try it the next time I went to that place, which happened to be the next day, but after that other type of sushi, I didn't dare!!!!

Meet the Family

HI!!!! My name is Bentley. I am only in the 6th grade, but my height is 5'11 and a half. (I know, right!!!) I get comments about my height pretty much, every day. I get it from my dad, who is 6'7. (Again... I know, right!!!!) I get some of it from my mom, who is 5'9 and a half. she says she used to be, like, REALLY tall in high school. I have an older brother, Tyler, who is 20 years old and goes to Auburn University ( WAR CAM EAGLE!!!!!!). I also have a sister, Mallory, who is 9 years old and goes to Knollwood Christian School (P.S.- MY home school). And then there's the dog... Lucy (DA, DA, DA, DAAA!!!!!), who is 6 years old and stays home all day. First, she is VERY protective and bipolar. Second, if she's not growling at you or scratching at your legs, she's either cuddled up beside you sleeping, eating, or getting a toy so you can play with her. What's so cool with her toys is that we've trained her so that when we say, "Where's your toy???" she goes and she finds whichever toy is closest to her. And the closest toy to her could be all the way across the house, but she finds it anyway!!! Third, she is a Maltese poodle, but with her new hair cut, SHE LOOKS LIKE A FAT RAT!!!!!!!! (If you think I'm over exaggerating... I'M NOT!!!!!)
